Meet Madison
Madison works with children, adolescents, young adults & adults, with particular experience supporting anxiety, behavioral concerns, life transitions, relationships, and emerging adulthood. Her approach is supportive and active, helping clients better understand what’s beneath the surface while encouraging them to take meaningful steps outside their comfort zones.
-
Madison believes therapy should offer both support and momentum.
She creates space for clients to feel understood while also encouraging them to challenge patterns, try something different, and take practical steps toward change.
Rather than focusing only on what’s happening on the surface, Madison works collaboratively with clients to explore the beliefs, experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be contributing to what they’re going through.

Madison draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and foundational principles of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
Her style combines encouragement with gentle challenge, helping clients build confidence by moving beyond familiar patterns and trying new ways of responding.
When working with children, Madison places particular importance on partnering with parents and caregivers, recognizing that meaningful change often happens when the whole family system is supported.
-
Madison earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, where she specialized in working with children and adolescents.
Her experience includes training at a psychology practice in Manhattan, where she worked with children experiencing selective mutism, oppositional defiant disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder.
During graduate training, she also provided counseling through the University of Mary Washington’s Counseling Center, supporting college-aged clients with anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and emerging adulthood.
Madison is currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia under the supervision of Grace Kim, LPC.
-
Outside of therapy, Madison enjoys staying active, spending time with friends and family, and keeping up with her dog and two cats.
