Justis Colbert, LPC

Meet Justis
Justis works with adult women navigating postpartum concerns, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, burnout, people-pleasing, infertility, child loss, caregiving roles, and major life transitions. Her approach is warm, honest, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients feel seen, supported, and more connected to themselves again.
-
There may be a version of you that everyone else knows as the strong one. The dependable one. The person who keeps showing up, keeps giving, and keeps holding everything together.
But underneath that, you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or like you’ve slowly lost pieces of yourself along the way.
Justis often works with women who are carrying the invisible mental load of motherhood, relationships, caregiving, work, and everyday life while quietly wondering when they’ll finally get a chance to breathe.

Justis draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adlerian therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, unconditional positive regard, and other integrative approaches based on what each client needs.
Her work may involve exploring intrusive thoughts, guilt, perfectionism, unresolved trauma, relationship patterns, communication challenges, or the pressure to keep everything together.
Justis works collaboratively with clients to build stronger boundaries, healthier coping tools, deeper self-trust, more connected relationships, and greater confidence in responding intentionally rather than simply reacting.
Her goal is to make therapy feel accessible, real, and grounded in the realities of your actual life.
-
Justis has a particular passion for women’s mental health and the many transitions that can reshape identity, relationships, and emotional well-being.
Her work includes supporting women through postpartum experiences, infertility, child loss, motherhood, empty-nest transitions, relational challenges, trauma, caregiving roles, and other major life changes.
She is especially interested in continuing to deepen her training and clinical work in women’s mental health
-
Justis absolutely loves being a mom and sees it as the one job she never clocks out of, with hugs, kisses, and unforgettable memories as the best kind of payment.
She also loves planning birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations and has a knack for making things feel special.
And she is fully willing to admit that she’s addicted to ice cream.
