Grace Kim, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor & Clinical Supervisor
Telehealth across Virginia
Meet Grace
Grace works with teens and adults navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, OCD, life transitions, identity concerns, family conflict, and the challenges that can come with immigration, acculturation, and belonging. Her style is relaxed, collaborative, and grounded in creating a space where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable and understood.
-
It takes courage to be vulnerable, especially when life has made it easier to push emotions aside or simply keep moving.
Grace sees therapy as a place to slow down, express what you’re feeling, work through problems in healthier ways, and build tools that help you feel more confident navigating your own life.
No matter what season you’re in, she works alongside you to better understand what’s happening, identify what you want to change, and move toward goals that feel meaningful to you.

Grace takes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from different modalities based on each client’s needs rather than relying on one fixed method.
Her work may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, person-centered, multicultural, existential, psychodynamic, humanistic, strengths-based, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches.
Grace also brings personal and professional awareness of the barriers minority and multicultural communities can face around mental health. She is especially passionate about helping clients navigate identity, acculturation, assimilation, racial and cultural experiences, and the tension that can come with moving between different worlds.
At the center of her work is the therapeutic relationship. Grace believes feeling comfortable, connected, and understood is an essential foundation for meaningful therapy.
-
In addition to her clinical work, Grace serves as a Clinical Supervisor in Virginia.
Her experience in the mental health field since 2018, along with her multicultural and integrative perspective, informs the way she supports both clients and developing clinicians.
-
Grace is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor in Virginia and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
She has foundational training in Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and grief work.

Born in South Korea and raised in Northern and Central Virginia after immigrating to the United States at age four, Grace also brings lived understanding to her work with clients navigating cultural identity and belonging.
-
Grace has a serious sweet tooth and is always up for candy, chocolate, or pretty much anything sweet.

She has also traveled to Bolivia and Japan, where she volunteered and taught English to children during high school and college.
