Meet Annamarie
Annamarie works with teens, adults & couples navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and concerns around self-worth. She has a particular passion for supporting military-connected individuals and families navigating the unique demands of service.
-
Annamarie believes clients are the experts on themselves and their own experiences.
Rather than approaching therapy with a predetermined answer, she works collaboratively with clients to better understand what they’re carrying, identify their strengths, and move through challenges in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
A genuine therapeutic connection is central to her work. Annamarie aims to create a space where clients feel supported, respected, and able to explore difficult experiences at a pace that feels right for them.

Annamarie takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach to therapy.
Her work may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR based on each client’s needs and goals.
She especially enjoys helping clients heal from past traumatic experiences, build greater confidence in themselves, and develop a stronger sense of who they are beyond what they’ve been through.
-
Annamarie has a particular interest in working with service members, veterans, and their families.
Her graduate training included a concentration in Military and Veterans Counseling, and she understands that military life can bring its own set of challenges, transitions, relationship stressors, and experiences that may not always be fully understood outside of that community.
She works to support military-connected clients with care that respects both their individual experiences and the larger context of service.
-
Annamarie earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Military and Veterans Counseling from William & Mary.
She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Economics from William & Mary.
Her clinical experience includes inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, residential settings, and outpatient care.
Annamarie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, and continues to focus much of her clinical growth on trauma recovery and supporting military-connected individuals.
-
Annamarie loves spending time with her dog, Marga, whom she rescued in San Diego.
She’s also a runner and has completed a marathon, with a particular preference for any route that happens to run alongside the water.
And while coffee isn’t really her thing, she’ll happily take a chai.
