Adoma works with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating substance use, trauma, major life transitions, and the challenges that can come with starting over. Her approach is warm, nonjudgmental, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens over time.

She works to meet clients where they are, honor their individual stories, and create a supportive environment where they can feel heard, understood, and actively involved in the process of change.
Her goal is to help clients build greater stability, resilience, and hope while moving forward at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.

Adoma takes an integrative approach to therapy and draws from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral strategies, and person-centered techniques.
Her work is collaborative and strengths-based, with an emphasis on understanding each client’s individual experiences, goals, and cultural context.
For clients navigating substance use or recovery, Adoma brings experience helping people work through challenges around addiction, change, and rebuilding stability.
She also works from a trauma-informed perspective, supporting clients as they process difficult experiences and develop greater resilience.

Adoma has a particular passion for working with adolescents and young adults.
She creates space for younger clients to express themselves openly, better understand their emotions, and develop healthier coping skills while paying attention to the larger environments and systems affecting their lives.
Adoma is also deeply committed to culturally responsive care. She approaches clients’ traditions, values, family systems, and lived experiences with cultural humility and works to reduce stigma and barriers to mental health support.

Adoma is a Resident in Counseling working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia under the supervision of Christy Heyn, LPC.
Her professional experience includes recovery assistance and addiction therapy, work with adolescents and young adults, support for survivors of human trafficking, and trauma-informed work with women navigating major life transitions.
